WIP Wednesday- VW Bus Mini Quilt

After making my Bicycle Quilt I realized how fun art quilts and raw edge appliqué can be! I decided to pull my scraps out today and start a new project. I love how it's coming along!

I also have another WIP that is still in the very beginning stages, but I'm going to make you wait on that one ;) HINT: "Adventure is out there!"



Sorry for all the pictures, but I just couldn't stand it! These flowers (weeds?) sprung up in the back yard while we were gone. Don't they make the perfect backdrop?!




Obviously this is a Work in Progress, as you can tell by the missing right button ;) I also need to finish the road...I ran out of black thread after one side. I used Pellon fusible web, which makes the raw edge appliqué so easy.




I feel like it's missing something...any suggestions on what it needs?! Words? Cute binding? A couple of birds? Please leave a comment!!! I feel like it's so plain!

    It's charming. If you decide it really needs something, how about some animals watching that cute VW bus passing by?

      I actually got my inspiration from some VW fans! My husband's cousin has a Thing and a Bug. We've always dreamed of having a bus or Vanagon :)

    they DO make a perfect backdrop! It's really cute as-is, but if you really want to, you could add some fun text, like Day Trippin'" or something else that involves going places.

    This is really cute! I used to work for a botanist and always wondered what made one plant a flower and another a weed, even though they seemed pretty, like flowering mustard. He said it had to do with the invasiveness.

    Thanks for a very interesting blog. What else may I get that kind of info written in such a perfect approach? I’ve a undertaking that I am simply now operating on, and I have been at the look out for such info.
