I just love how the city scene and trees add to the feel of it. I used raw edge appliqué (with fusible web) and a mixture of straight line and free motion quilting.
Did I mention it was quilt-as-you-go?! Love that concept and can't wait to use it on a colorful scrappy log cabin I'm planning :)
Thanks for visiting!

very creative. Love the fabrics you used for the bike.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! It was actually a great challenge because I had to use fabric that I already had at home. And my stash is quite small :)
DeleteWhat an exceptional gift.....on so many levels!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your first art quilt - to be the first of many I hope - Like your friend, let it be the motivation to keep going!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope so too :)
DeleteI love your original quilt - what size is it?
ReplyDeleteI actually forgot to measure it before I gave it to my friend! But it's probably in the 25-30" x 40-50" range.
DeleteWhat a special quilt!
