HBQ's New Addition!

JT and I are parents!!!!! On Saturday, the humane society was raising money at work and they brought three puppies with them to be adopted. I was really drawn to one puppy in particular, and couldn't seem to stop going out to see her. I spoke with the volunteers for a while and learned all about her...she was a 2-yr-old australian shepherd mix, found by a Dollar General, had a bad leg and would possibly need an amputation in the future, and her adoption fee had already been paid! I sent some pics to my hubby on a whim and...well...we picked her up the next day :)

They believe that Sadie was hit by a car, which cause permanent damage to her leg. She does not have use of the leg but she is pain-free! Unless it starts causing her pain or we see that it is impeding normal life, then it will not have to be amputated. Thank goodness!!! For now, we have ordered her a couple of sturdy boots to try out...to prevent any more sores on her paw that could potentially get infected.

She is easygoing and loving, sleeps through the night, is house-trained, and LOVES to ride in the car. She even tried to go to work with me on Monday. I mean how am I supposed to resist that face?!?!

We took Audrey with us to do a meet and greet, which went great! They get along fine, and actually don't seem as interested in each other as they are with us. They both LOVE the attention :)
