However, there's this great thing called blogging that, while sometimes disappointing, can actually be very reassuring. I have barely touched my sewing machine in the past week, haven't joined any link parties, and have sulked at the sight of my page views. Despite what it seems, I was actually pretty productive this week. Let me show you how.
- On Sunday, I used my day off to solve one the Greene household's biggest problems: STORAGE!!! More on this later.
- On Monday, I drove to work at 5:30am in the pouring rain and complete darkness, in order to participate in a initiatory work-related function: inventory. Also known as glorified counting that stresses everyone out for weeks prior, only to last three hours and go off without a hitch. Bonus...free food.
- On Tuesday, I also worked, and chatted it up with one of my favorite fellow employees. This was also very productive.
- On Wednesday, I made my very first "cut you grocery bill in half by only shopping once a month" game plan. After three hours of buggy-driving, and an almost embarrassing moment of elation in the Harris Teeter meat department, I came home with over a month's worth of groceries for only $200. According to my receipts I saved over $100. Read more about this here.
- On Thursday, I spent a lovely morning with my hubby, finished my quilted tote bag, and made some progress on a few UFOs. I also did dishes. Yuck.
- So far today, I have run a couple errands, folded laundry, basted a quilt, iron some apron pockets and ties, and cleaned the kitchen. We'll see how the rest of the evening goes!
Thank you all for putting up with my absence, and my monologue upon returning. I love getting comments! How has your week been?
Much love,
LB
